Student Ministry

Student Ministries

We believe that the teens are the church of tomorrow while remaining the church of today.  Therefore, our Middle and High school teens are an integral part of our whole worshipping and serving congregation.  We believe that teens need to be reached out to in love and personally affirmed and encouraged to become a very important part of the life of the church by integrating their enthusiasm and creativity in the total ministry of the church.

God has shown us through Christ that God calls us to love one another.  Therefore, our Student Ministry seeks to build relationships between teens, their peers, parents, adult leaders, and our Lord Jesus Christ.  Our hope is that through meaningful relationships with others, young people might grow in their love and knowledge of God.   In order to foster these relationships and build trust within our group, we offer a weekly program and encourage regular participation.

For more information or questions about any of our Student Ministries programs, please contact Joel Bielefeldt at joel@gracejenkintown.org.

“So you must also consider yourself dead to sin and alive to God in Christ Jesus”

                                                                                      -Romans 6:11

Our high school students’ lives are full of highs and lows.  They need friends to celebrate the highs and friends to walk with them through the lows.  Our hope and prayer for our high school students is that they will find 6Eleven a safe place where they will be able to come to and feel welcomed, loved and grow deeper in their faith.

6Eleven is open to all high school students in our community and we meet on Sunday evenings from…

H.S. Small Groups meet on Thursday evenings at the Kuhl’s home in Jenkintown from 7:30 – 9:00.  Our small group ministry is designed for students who want to grow spiritually, form a deep, authentic relationship with peers and adults, and learn what it means to follow Jesus Christ

“They said to each other, “Did not our hearts burn within us while he talked to us on the road, while he opened to us the Scriptures?”

                                                                             -Luke 24:32

We believe middle school is one of the most pivotal stages of life when students take big strides personally, relationally, and spiritually so it is our hope and prayer for all of the middle school students who come to ignite, even if it is for just one time, to catch the fire for Jesus Christ.

ignite is open to all students in our community who are in grades 6 – 8.  ignite meets on Tuesday evenings from 7:00  – 8:30.  The first 45 minutes of Ignite will be spent in fellowship with the students playing games and other large group activities.  The last 45 minutes students will break into same gender small groups where they will dive deeper into Scripture and discuss different topics to encourage our students to think about their faith and how it affects their everyday lives.
